AFAICS, there are TMFA

You know those AT&T commercials where they talk in acronyms? Well, now you can, too! It’ll take some time to learn the language, but after you put in a few hard hours on the SMS Dictionary of Abbreviations, you’ll be ABRVing everything you say. Just think of how much more you can communicate if you do it in fewer symbols. There are hundreds of entries, and I certainly haven’t seen even a quarter of them. Scroll through at your own leisure, but after the jump, you’ll get a few of my favorites.

SUYF = Shut Up You Fool
Had we known this one, we would have been using it years ago.

TEOTWAWK = The end of the world as we know it
Slash and burn, re-turn, listen to yourself churn.

TTT = That’s the ticket
One of my favorite old-time phrases.

DINK = Double Income No Kids
Jigga-what?

BMW = Be my wife
A sure-fire way to get rejected.

There are tons others. Warning: Plenty of cursing involved.
