Bell Mobility teams with HBO for premium content

A little news from up North. Bell Mobility, one of the three major Canadian wireless providers, has teamed with HBO to provide on-demand content. This means full episodes, plus ringtones, wallpapers, and mobile games in the near future. The service launched today, so if you’re a Bell subscriber, or you know someone who does, let ‘em know. It sounds like an excellent partnership — which hopefully will be made with more and more carriers.
“We are very excited to be teaming up with Bell Mobility to deliver a truly compelling package of on-demand programming to mobile audiences in Canada,” said Stanley Fertig, Senior Vice President, HBO International. “This agreement exemplifies our goal to grow our profile in the international marketplace through digital platforms.”
Of course, it won’t be available on all phones. Currently, we’re looking at the LG 385, the Samsung Carbon, and the LG Muziq.
Plus, it’s only $10 per month, which is about what they charge for their TV subscription service, if not less. For more info, check out the HBO page on Bell’s website.
