Mobile Notes: iPhone, iPhone, iPhone

A few iPhone notes for today. Seriously, this feels like deja vu all over again. The hype was hitting full force at this time last year, and it seems Apple is creating the same kind of buzz for the 3G iPhone. I tried to stay away from the topic over the winter, but it seems unavoidable at this point.
- AT&T has launched a Text Accessibility Plan for the iPhone. Designed for people who are deaf or have a hearing or speech disability, TAP gives a greater ability to type out one’s communications. It’ll cost $40 per month for unlimited texting and Web browsing.
- The iPhone with…Lego speakers? I guess so. It seems more cool than functional, and I’m always down with a little nostalgia.
- Will the 3G iPhone be subsidized? According to Fortune magazine, we could be seeing an exchange of $200 for the signing of a two-year contract. With the 8-gig model at $399 and the 16-gig version at $499, that’ll be a sweet deal. The question, of course, is if you’re willing to commit that much time to AT&T.
