Mobile Notes: HTC Touch, T-Mo Shadow, Sidekick, MTV

A couple of notes from around the world of mobile:
- It’s official: Verizon has launched the HTC Touch, which it is terming the XV6900. If anyone gets their hands on it, let me know. It doesn’t sound like it will be too different from the version Sprint has had for a few months.
- Is that a T-Mobile Shadow II I see? Photographic evidence says yes for now. Looks like it will not only have HotSpot @Home functionality, but it will also support MyFaves. TmoNews claims it will be out “before back-to-school.”
- Microsoft has bought Danger, makers of the Sidekick. So what does this mean for the future of the Sidekick? No details on that, though mocoNews asks if a handheld Xbox is in the offing.
- Like MTV? Didn’t think so. But in case you do, they’re releasing a mobile phone, the MTV3.3. It actually looks kinda decent, sporting a 2 megapixel camera and 3G data speeds. It’ll come out in France next week for the equivalent of about $77. Think AT&T or T-Mo will pick it up in the states?
