Mobile Notes: HTC, Nokia, Sony Ericsson, Texting, T-Mobile

Or, considering the topics of the news over the weekend, the non-Sprint items of note.
- Photos have surfaced of the HTC Diamond. It looks amazingly sleek, and has my favorite feature of all, WiFi. Supposedly, we’re going to get an announcement tomorrow. Supposedly.
- Want to sign a three-year contract to have the privilege of spending $399.99 for the Nokia N95? You can if you’re in Canada. The device will be launched through Rogers tomorrow. AT&T can’t be far behind.
- Looks like Handango has leaked the release date for the Sony Ericsson Xperia X1. Make sure to take a look at this uber cool device.
- Gizmodo goes over a way to cover your text messaging tracks. Most carriers dump your texting records after a couple of days — though Sprint holds them for two weeks. The issue then is to get them off your phone. And that means sending and receiving enough messages to overwrite the old ones.
- So not only is T-Mobile getting 3G, but they might be getting HSDPA speeds soon. It’s just a rumor at this point, but as always, the folks at TmoNews sound pretty confident about it.
