Which is the most neglected state? Growing up, I always thought Wyoming. After all, do you know anyone who has been to the state? I didn’t for quite a while — a friend actually suggested that because he didn’t know anyone who had been to the state, it very well might not exist. Ah, but then you have the Grant Tetons and Yellowstone, so there’s some fame to it. The list now stands at North Dakota and West Virginia, though many people know WV because of their football team. AT&T isn’t neglecting them, either, as they’ve acquired Easterbrooke Cellular Corporation, which provides coverage for the Mountaineers.

Like recent AT&T acquisition Dobson Communications, Easterbrooke operates under the Cellular One brand. This will be assimilated into AT&T, along with Easterbrooke’s 19,000 West Virginian customers. AT&T will also provide coverage to the rest of the state.

They’re not wasting any time, either. They plan to have their gamut of products and services ready for this newly-acquired area by the end of the first quarter.

Usually, news of these acquisitions comes through, and then you have to wait months and months for the deal to be finalized. This is especially true of AT&T, who routinely have to go through the FCC to gain approval for these sales. This one, however, has met its final approval, so there’s no waiting period here.

So do we start a pool as to which small cell carrier is the next to be absorbed by AT&T or Verizon? We’ve got Cincinnati Bell.
