Alltel extends My Circle plans
Posted by Joe P on January 14, 2008
Alltel has gone far out of its way to hype up its My Circle calling plans, where you can select 10 numbers from any carrier to call for free. It’s really been their signature since they’ve been advertising on the national level. It even spawned a fake lawsuit. Alltel is expanding the offering now, much to the delight of their users. Previously, My Circle was only available on rate plans of $59.99 or higher. Now the lesser spenders will get a chance to call their best friends for free.
You can now add five friends to call whenever you like with a $49.99 monthly plan. For the big spenders, a plan of $99.99 or more per month will allow you to add 20 friends to your My Circle plan. That’s the gist of it. Nothing really much to add.
So is this an indication that My Circle is working? Or is a desperation attempt to bring more customers into it? Can’t say for sure, but if I was a betting man, I’d go with the former. T-Mobile myFaves and Alltel My Circle seem to be popular enough. Might as well expand the offer if that’s the case.
